Sermon in a sentence:  Without compassion, we are not Christian.

Two ways we should all be more like Jesus—

#1  Like Jesus, we should all be moved by the plight of the despised and

       rejected—verses 40-48.

• She was poor—Mark 5:26

• She was socially isolated—Leviticus 15:26; 17:11

       tzizit (plural=tzitzyot)—Numbers 15:37-39; Deuteronomy 12:12

#2  Like Jesus, we should all be moved by the plight of the desperate and

       helpless—verses 49-56.
